I'm glad we agree, more or less. Understand the reason I stopped listening is because all these self-loathing-to self-realization stories are numerous as much as they have been publicized. (Yours being no less uniqely special to yourself.) I just wanted to add a deeper insight to this other than just "learning to love oneself". For many women, would you believe, even this is not enough.

I appreciate the extra insight. But why is another account of self-loathing to self-love a bad thing? Maybe it's tedious to you to listen to, but the point is that a negative became positive, and it seems a little condescending to deride that message. "Learning to love oneself" isn't enough, I agree, but it's a good first step. If we can get more women to this point, THEN we can worry about the next steps.

I really hope this vid & all lke it reach blk girls everywhere.I unfortunately was once in tht ugly stereotyipcal bubble;but I thank God for helping me realise that Im beautiful just the way I am! Beauty IS in the eyes of the beholder and whoever u encouter tht thinks u need to alter urself to become what THEY consider beautiful aint worth it a shit of ur time!
