This is how I control my Christmas lights with a custom controller board, a piece of software called Vixen, and a lot of wiring.

  • google for what? pc fan noise too loud! also, plans for a usb version?

  • @spoon404 That PC fan is 10 years old, it's no wonder it's noisy! Google 'Olsen 595'.

  • @spoon404 Oh, and when I made that controller there weren't many 'do-it-yourself' ways of doing this. There are newer ways of doing this now that allow dimming, too. My board is on or off, no dimming.

  • dude you need to check out DMX lighting and open source usb to dmx.You can get 512 channels on one xlr cable. I found this site that has stuff cheap
