On August 10th, 2006 my wife experienced an unintended acceleration with our 2005 Prius which was 10 months old and had only 13,000 miles on it. She accelerated to 90 mph and had to exit the interstate and ditch the car through a forest, ending up in a river.
Part II will include the inspection of the vehicle and Toyota's conclusion that her acceleration was caused by her brakes.

  • bakemanb, what's your point? why are you even watching and commenting? she tried all that and it did not work... do you really think we are idiots? how rude you are... Do you really think it is okay for people to sell defective products and it is up to the consumer to survive the defect? She did everything right.. she lived, no one else got hurt, no ones property was damaged.. we are just giving the public a heads up about Toyota's defective products and their deceitful behavior...

  • Sounds like bs to me...all of a sudden after 4 years you post this video..what a joke

  • 99.999% of Prius owners are douchebags anyway.I bet there's not even an engineering defect. They're just a bunch of yuppie wannabies that are pre-occupied with tweeting on their Macbooks and stuffing their faces with scones from Starbucks.Notice how all this started right about the time they made it illegal to talk on the phone and drive. They were probably texting or updating their facebook status when they crashed.Wanna help the environment, learn how your car works or STAY THE FCUK OFF THE ROAD!

  • can you please explain to me how brakes caused acceleration?

  • @canadaisthenorth yes, but the money comes back to us see. when you buy a japanese car, the money goes to the worker and our government takes from the worker. but tons and tons of that money heads back to japan. so when a canadian makes your camaro, same deal the gvt takes from the worker and the money comes to us therefore we profit.

  • @roman1966100 Yes buy American cars that are made in Canada!

  • I'm wondering if Toyota has some sort of "safety" on the transmission, because this person could have shifted it into neutral and it would have stopped or at least slowed down in a hell of a hurry.

  • @roman1966100 i wouldn't buy domestic cars but i wouldn't buy a prius either prius's r are gay

  • Buy American you idiots!!

  • @PsychedelicZuma a prius doesn't have a clutch dumbass

  • @PsychedelicZuma Or if for some reason you can't shift into neutral, turn the key to "accessory" or use the switch that stops the engine (make sure not to turn the key to lock, and do not remove it, or you might not have steering).

  • Ахуеть... in РРрррussia ppl often fly like this(( our cust. . dont vry like this car.. but we have a "wonderful" roads))) well done men. safe y god
