For Gorgeous Gary... don't ever dream it's over. I thought this song would be great for a Gary trib, since it was used in "The Stand." Btw, if you haven't seen that movie, do yourself a favor - Gary is absolutely marvelous as Stu Redman. Enjoy!

'Gorgeous Gary' is right!! I'd seen him in things, and liked him a lot in 'Forrest Gump'. But, I saw him in 'Apollo 13' and my heart just started to pound.

He's made it pound ever since! Now I'm collecting all the DVDs I can get of his work. I haven't bought 'The Stand' yet, I need to do that.

Thank you for this great tribute to him, and wonderful pictures. I always appreciate someone who loves Gary, and knows how special he is!

I'm from the Blue Island Illinois area, and am friends with some of Gary's near relatives. His first cousin Rob has partnered with me on many salvage jobs, and his 3rd cousin John works part-time for me as a truck mechanic. I just missed meeting Gary once at a closed family restaurant get-together. He's as down-home as he seems. Not enough space to go on. He's married to the "cat lady" in Terminator 3 clinic scene,. Moira Harris. Never in the tabloids!

The Stand is my all time favorite S King novel & this song is one of the things I remember about it. The entire cast was perfect for their parts & the music was so well chosen. This song is one that I really remember (along with Don't Fear the Reaper). I actually bought the DVD last year. I've watched it a few times. I once read an interview with S King where he said he didn't understand why so many thought this his best novel. :) If you never read the novel, do it-especially the unabridged.

I completely agree. The Stand is one of my favorite miniseries to watch. Gary Sinise is superb. The other movie I love him in is Ransom with Mel Gibson. If you can play a good guy and an even better bad guy, you are Gary Sinise, or Gary Oldman. Ever hear him do the armed forces ads?
