I downloaded the free version of spore CC, but when i add textures the body goes almost pure black and the head stays the right colour, is this a bug in my computer or is it just because its the free version.

how the heck is it a SIN? If there is a god, i'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind people making games where you play as him... playing as him is pretty much worshiping him! (but im not saying that if you play Spore that means you worship god, choose your own religion and don't judge people on theirs, thats what i do.)
