Most bands (if not all bands) write songs that are very similar. ACDC, Metallica, etc. They most likely wouldn't be as popular if they didn't.

I said that a ton were written in the 70s, not all of them. Plus, all of their songs have the same basic meaning: their crush.They all sound VERY similar. I never said I was a better musician than them. I said I can PLAY better than them.

I do not think all new music is crap, just all this generic rap and teen-pop stuff. I do like modern rock bands like Paramore, AFI, the Arctic Monkeys, Them Crooked Vultures, Chickenfoot, etc. Please shut up.

by the way, all love songs were written in the 70s? lol, no. Love as been a common theme long before that. You seem to be the kind of kid who thinks all new music is shit. (I was like that a few years ago hehe) There's always been shit in the charts and there always will be. Listen to things that don't play on MTV and you'll see there are some awesome bands out there.

I'm not a Jonas Brothers fan but man... you don't know what you're talking about. You think you are better musician than them? Why don't you write a song that could stick in the minds of thousands of people? You know, musical talent is not just about playing fast shit and a lot of chords. (I'm currently studying guitar in college, I kinda know what I'm talking about..) You don't seem to notice that most of classical music only uses 4-5 chords. Blues is a progression of the same 3 chords...
