Alan Watts' "This is IT", released in 1962, is said to be the first psychedelic music record. Most of it isn't very interesting, but there are some tracks with hilarious freakouts. This one sounds like a battle between chanting buddha monks and prehistoric cavemen.

  • For goodness sake everyone, if you could just turn off your ego for a couple of minutes, you might get it!

  • Fuck. My brother thought i was watching porn at the end after he heard the screaming noises through my headphones O_O

  • @ThEmIdNiGhTiNtRuDeR By what I know, you are playing this game. Hmmm not now. You are thinking... to put it in words, you just use a percentage of your head. "The brain" is huge, "I am" huge psychologically. That is by far my explanation in words of thoughts. You're right, I am listening. Though there were no speaker, I am me. The brain is me and I am the brain. Simple really, but complicated when you try to expand it all in words... It is what it is.

  • @Chieu3 Once-upon-a-time you never were there, but you turned up didn't you? What makes you think it is you who is thinking? Half the time when you think you're thinking, you are in fact, actually listening.

  • @ThEmIdNiGhTiNtRuDeR lol you can't turn up something that never was there... or force yourself to stop thinking ahaha

  • This was trippy and a bit scary in the end i must admit.

  • @TheSleepyFeeling Indeed, you are right. I was trying to be less abstract though, for the sake of making my point. Essentially though, it's the same thing, in trying to turn off (or at least turning down) the ramblings of the ego, you realise you are observing it and therefore you are not it.

  • @ThEmIdNiGhTiNtRuDeR you dont turn it off you realise your not it.
