Nine year old artist, Autumn de Forest appeared at Green Valley Christian School in Las Vegas as a featured speaker for their "Journey Into The Arts" event. In this raw clip, Autumn works with a class that is learning to use Encaustic, a type of wax painting, popularized most recently in the 1960s by famed artist and recent National Medal Of Honor recipient Jasper Johns. Jasper Johns is a major influence on young Autumn and her artwork. Autumn and her entire team want to express appreciation for the warm reception and loving welcome received by the entire staff at GVCS. Special thanks goes out to Nanette Bratton for her stellar performance in producing this great event.
We love you, Nanette.
