  • i have lap band; surgery was july 2008. I have never had luck with it. I really want mine removed as well. I paid for the procedure out of pocket, so I think my insurance won't cover it for removal. Is your situation similar? HOw are you feeling now? I have a constant pain all the time all the time now. I have an appt with my primary Dr. I hope she will give a referral.

  • @MsMoesuckra My insurance covered removal and they were going to pay for another WLS but I refused. I will never do that to my body again. I hope you do get it out. While in Israel I found an American woman that lives near me that had a failed lapband. She had hers out because it almost killed her. It was just more confirmation for me that WLS is a mistake. It's slow to lose on your own, but it is possible. I only have 40 pounds til I reach my first real goal. I've lost 120+ pounds. Good luck!!

  • @Ineedmorelives Thank you so much. I have been putting this off for a while. I felt ashamed that I spent 15k of the family money, I didn't want to have pay another 15k. I think it is worth it now. I have such a hard time, I can't eat healthy foods, like grilled chicken and Vegtables. Some days, I can only eat crunchy foods. SUch a nightmare. Thanks for your help! Good Luck to you!

  • @MsMoesuckra Well, think of it this way - you are going to spend the money anyway, so it should be on something lasting like your health. What is done is done, so never look back like it was a waste. You learned something, now you're fixing it. It should be a lot cheaper to take it out than it is to put it in. If you are not eroded, its less than a 10 min surgery. Your long-term health is more important than money; period!

  • HATE MY BAND! I'm revising to a VSG next month. GL to you!

  • @BytchEPoo Hated mine too. Ruined every day that I had with it. I would like you to explore other methods of weight loss before you have another weight loss surgery though. I know you probably feel hopeless, but it is possible to lose on your own. Surgery has a lot of negatives, and I know you see the short term, but the long term is important too. You want to feel great in a year, but you also want to live a really long healthy life too. Just please think about it before you have surgery. GL!

  • Say are you tired?

  • Its not your fault.. they put this in YOUR FOOOODS!!! azodicarbonamide

It is a chemical whose primary use is “in the production of foamed plastics.” In the United States it is also used as a food additive and flour bleaching agent.

  • WHy not do turbo fire? Dont cheat your lifespan with horrible things like a lap band?! you guys can do this! and be proud you DID IT! cleanse your systems first with Paranix Klenz kit and just walk ... doing turbo fire is great.. 20 min non stop work out is best :D

OH NO DONT EAT BREAD -- they put FOAM in it. Azodicarbomide
