The Pastorale from Vierne's Symphony #1, played by Vierne's (not immediate) successor at Notre Dame, Paris. This is an impromptu 1996 recording of a live concert on the 3-manual/44-rank Lively-Fulcher instrument built in 1995. St. Patrick's is Washington's oldest Catholic parish, founded in 1794 to serve the stonemasons (primarily Italian, I would expect) who were building the White House & the Capitol

Beautiful. Mr. Latry relaxes at the console and the music simply flows through him. I wonder if others would agree that this could be a little too fast. On second thought, it is marked 'Allegretto' and in the context of the entire symphony, it works just fine I think.
Simply divine ! The Recit oboe is well voiced as is the flutes of this Organ. ive heard Latry in Organ Concerts several times and his performances always blew me away simply stunning.
