my little bruv took my ipod out of my pocket n smashed it on the ground n its got some cracks but i need to get it fixed anyway due to faulty home button, i took some of the glass peices off so i can take off thr home button, n i realised that this very small circle thing helps the button click n that small piece was moved to the side not allowing it to click (not the metal piece glued to button) so now i can fix it myself (i think)
A good way to prep yourself for this job is to purchase a couple new screens and when you get them, break them immediately. Now your getting the hang of it. Proceed.
Good, since you can answer that question try this one; Where can you get the little spring that's on the motherboard that touches the home button when the digitizer is put in place?
@x64KiLLax Yes the home button will only work once its completely snapped into place because it has to make full contact with the motherboard where the button meets the contact.
What is the piece that goes for 15-20 dollars?

This was cake! The hardest part was taking the broken screen and bezel pc. off.
I too used a small tool to attach the cable and push it down til it was securely clipped onto the motherboard. This was seriously
worth doing myself to save 30.00+ for labor plus shipping it off or whatever for repair.
Thank you SO MUCH for your helpful video and words of advice.
Your one of the good guys!
