  • Which flare is best to use at the football?

  • @unis2006 Pyrotechnic flares can burn as hot as 3000 degrees Fahrenheit so they should be used with utmost caution - even one drop of the molten metal that drips from a burning flare can cause up to 3rd degree burns on your skin. Be safe and save the flares for emergencies.

  • did any one show up to offer asistance

  • @killerbydayornight We had two boats come up over the course of the day wondering if we needed help. The Coast Guard made announcements over VHF several times to let boaters know that we were just testing the flares. Incidentally, there were several cars crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge that stopped at the toll plaza to tell them that they saw someone that might need help out on the water.
