NOTE - This video does not have audio

This video gives a brief explanation on how to change the HDD from the stock 160GB 5400RPM to a 500GB 7200RPM and from the stock 2GB RAM to 4GB RAM.

The reinstall of OSX is very easy!

Insert and boot from DVD (holding down 'C' when switching on) and following all the prompts.

  • Nice tutorial.

My MBP is the same you have (2,26 + 160 + 2gb), did you notice just a big or a big big difference after u change hdd and memory? Do u think it worth 8gb instead of 4gb?

    Thanks and keep on!!

  • Did the battery life decrease after increasing the rpm on the HD

  • This video was so helpful and informative - nice and clear and precise. No audio makes concentration clearer and instructions slow and step by step.

I shall bookmark this video and use it for when I upgrade my hard drive and memory!

Congratulations on an excellent tutorial video!

  • I like what you did hear with no audio. It makes me actually concentrate on the video more. Great job. Now if I can only find instructions for the late 2006 Macbook Pro.
