@bluefishtattoos the fish has a blood taste to the meat no matter if you cut the head and tail off it still wouldnt be enough to bleed the animal. you can try and see if you like the taste

I'm from Louisiana and we have tons of them down here in huge schools. They have a feeding frenzy on mullet, thrashing the water and sending the mullets flipping through the air as if the mullet learned a new way to jump out the water. I usually catch them on a 7' 9" Falcon XG heavy med with 20lb mono and a Abu Garcia wide spool. Its a great fish to fight only wish i could eat it...
