USC'S A JOKE. "THE BAND OF THE FIGHTING IRISH" IS THE BEST, PERIOD. I'M NOT AN ALUM. JUST A FAN FROM DETROIT WHO SAW MY FIRST ND GAME IN 1957. NOTHING, ON ANY GIVEN GAME DAY, RIVALS ND AND THE BAND STEPPING OFF TO THE STADIUM.

@Nugent4Heisman Uh, they just received an award this fall from an organization that hands out every year what is considered the equivelant of the Heisman for college marching bands. They received it on 10/8/11 at the home game against Air Force. They are the number one band, I know it and witnessed the evidence to prove it for I was at the game. GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My high school plays the ND fight song along with the Washingon and Lee swing at our homecoming. It's funny, when they broadcast the games on the radio to the 3,000 people that live here, you'd hear it in the background. But I'm pretty sure it's a recording of ND themself, because never will our band be able to play this song justice. Next year as drum major I'm hoping to change that. ND is without a doubt the greatest university marching band of all time...
