Rep. William Jefferson of Louisiana has lost his re-election bid. Jefferson was defeated by Republican Anh 'Jospeh' Cao, who will become the first Vietnamese-American in Congress. Rep. Jefferson currently faces bribery charges. (Dec. 7)

More than tne corruption of this individual, I am amazed at how white and black citizens of Lousiana are mortgaging their future to first generation Americans, who's ancestors were born on foreign soil. The majority of the world's nations require one and one's ancestors to be native born, before buying a home, holding a political office, etc. Nigeria sells influence: You pay for getting deals, Chevron does this all the time. You make dumb redneck statement, I respond with facts and rationale, you respond with ignorant statement, I say something witty and insulting. Then you retort with a better witticism, thus continuing the debate.
