NOTE: THERE IS NO BASHING OF PRESIDENTS/GOVT, ETC IN THIS VIDEO! PURELY SCHOOL RELATED.
We had to make a music video to the song "Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?" for my American Foundations class and show how a 2009 Depression is similar to the Great Depression so we [my sis OViolentDarkKnightO and muah] tried to portray that through the very amazing by George Michael.
We used analogies since we don't tend to use railroads the way they did back then anymore; so here's the analogies you may need to know. When they talk about railroads in the song, it's meaning businesses; when it's about towers it's really about the banks and the government. And then I think the foreclosures, loans and whatnot are pretty self-explanatory....
So let us know what you think because this took so long to do that I really want to hear your take on this all. Thanks!

Wow that was very impressive, I'm sure you girls earned an A on that project. It wasn't often in school that these type of talents came in handy but when they do/did it just kinda reminds you that vidding is not a waste of time and given the chance a very impressive and useful skill that could be utilized in so many ways.
Amazing job on this, finding source material, illustrating the song and meeting the objective of the project!! <33
I don´t live in America, but some of my famely members do, and i know its hard over there now, but its hard here too (Sweden) So i love this video! xD
I definately agree with k9lover27. It's good that vidders can use their talents to help people understand important or complicated issues. May I just say: these IDIOTIC CEO's make me *so* proud to be an American. I'll just think about that when I'm paying my thousands and thousands of dollars in tax money =P
harlaquingirl7 - OMG I know, right? I especially hate the WalMart CEO after watching this interview on the industry; 3 trillion dollars in bonuses while workers get minimum wage and NO insurance; did you know they make the workers work 1 minute below what's lawfully the insurance policy? If that makes sense, I don't know how else to say, but honestly, 3 trillion dollars and you can't give your workers insurance AT ALL!? UGH!
Brilliant! I find it awesome that vidders here on youtube can use their vidding skills and apply them to educational purposes like this. I know that sounds really cheesy, but it's true. You girls did a wonderful job! This vid is really impacting. I think you did a very convincing job of comparing our current situation to the Great Depression. 5 stars!
k9lover27 - Thanks dear! :) I love seeing vidders use their talent to make propaganda against drugs and stuff like that as well, it's really cool to see how they can do it, you know? :)

Yeah sadly it's hard everywhere since it's been such an impact on the global market. Glad you liked it.

I know, I hate having to do depressing vids :(
Haha no I haven't, is it any good?
Maybe not as good as 'Sicko' or 'Bowling for Columbine' but Michael Moore can't really make a documentary that isn't entertaining, can he? ^^
