Based loosely on an internet joke, Phil Gutis, Director of Legislative Communications at the American Civil Liberties Union developed a script about privacy in the future. The ACLU is very concerned about personal privacy and felt a Flash feature would provide an excellent vehicle for spreading its concerns. Using a sound stage in Washington DC, an actor (Jason Stiles) and an actress (Melissa Schwartz) laid down the audio track based on the script. Then, Micah Laaker provided the visual elements needed. The final feature was released during the Spring of 2004 and was an instant success, with widespread appeal to people across the political spectrum. More than 100,000 people have watched it online and it continues to spread throughout the online community. It has helped raise awareness about protecting personal privacy and has led to many people writing to their elected officials about the issue. * Learn how the Patriot Act impacts your rights from the American Civil Liberties Union's interactive guide. * Help safeguard the privacy of reading records by signing the Campaign for Reader Privacy's petition. * Opt out from having your personal information shared or sold through the Center for Democracy and Technology. * Sign up for updates from UnRealID.com to get updated news and campaign information about USA national ID cards.

  • I worked in the pizza delivery business for 10 years. Started as a driver and ended up owning my own store (a franchise). I can tell you that this is WAY IN THE FUTURE. Smallbusiness owners are just trying to stay alive. Most franchises are run by local people that live in your neighborhood and besides the cost of this technology it's just nowhere near this level. They are just figuring out how to do online ordering without screwing it up. Still scary though.

  • Did you even read the video description? I worked in the pizza business as well, but that is beside the point. In fact the food delivery system for companies is beside the point of the video.

  • Pop quiz! Now what political party wants total control over your life from cradle to grave, and raises taxes to pay for all the programs to do so? Hint....it's not the party symbolized by the elephant.

  • I know the answer! It is either the Demicans or the Republicrats. Both of the two major parties are the same, they only support the citizens when election time rolls around. The rest of the time they kowtow to corporate interests.
