  • This elephant is not dancing. This is a behavior called weaving that is an elephant's way of expressing distress. Watch the elephant abuse videos on this website esp. the "big top at ringling brothers" one." They explain a little bit about weaving in the video. Also visit the Elephant Sanctuary at elephants dot com for more info on elephant behaviors.

  • I liked it when the elephant said 'hello'

  • Is so sad .... When u can not do what u wanna do ?

  • this elephant isnt dancing, he's rocking back and forth to delf soothe

  • I didnt even read the first comment and my first thought was "this elephant looks depressed". Its odd how visually you can really see the emotion in elephants more than other wild animals. Especially the younger ones.

  • Elephants never exhibit this kind of behavior in the wild or sanctuaries. Zoos need to release their elephants to sanctuary, just like the Detroit Zoo did.

  • Is it dancing?

  • @iloveram i feel so bad for him/her now :(

  • Saddest thing I've ever seen ...

  • D: not cool

  • I was going to say the same as Iloveram - this isn't an elephant dancing - this is an elephant in distress. Anyone who knows anything about life, humans and other mammals would see this.
