Hi Dave!
There is NO 1972 Impala registered in Germany. NOT YET! Time for change! Mine will be the first one ever! It`s already one the way from California to Europe. Poster`s name is brunner75. Check out that nasty sound of this wicked monster! It`s a rat and man I love rats...
Dave, cool site...
May the Microzeb be with you!

One of mine gets maybe 8-12mpg. My good one gets as much as 18mpg on the highway if I go 55mph. Some guy told me his gets 23mpg because he has the right gears in the rear end, plus some other upgrades (ignition, exhaust, carburetion, etc)

ive been trying to ask people this question and i think youre the right guy to answer it. are these impalas reliable... like do they need that much maintenance and will they last a long time... im about to get a 72 impala and im just wondering how good they are

Just like any car, you'll need to determine the condition of all the mechanical parts and replace, repair or adjust whatever is necessary. Then you should have a very reliable car. I have driven my 360,000 mile Impala for the last 4-5 months every day without any trouble. The last thing to break was the ignition module (damn electronic upgrade) and it happened in my driveway of all places.

hahaha... well thank you very much... i just got really happy all the sudden. and i do understand that there are just things that will naturally wear out but you cant really stop that with any car. but a 360000 mile car and still going... thats amazing

Had it up to 75mph today. Yesterday I was doing 70mph when I was passed by a chick in a 73 Monte Carlo. So I kept up with her for a while just for kicks. Speaking of 73 Monte Carlos, there's a really old lady in the neighborhood who drives one. Recently, she started running a red light into the neighborhood. I think she does it just to save some time. I'd love to put it on youtube if I can snag a video!!
