MEET APRIL BAMBAO

At the age of 13, April Bambao was the youngest member to join Boogiemonstarz, 1/4th of the dynasty of Family Royale (Jabbawaockeez, Boogiemonstarz, Super Galactic Beat Manipulators, Press Play), under the direction and training of Phil Tayag, member of Jabbawockeez. As one of the longest and most dedicated members of this influential and versatile crew, she has earned her rank and her name as a raising dancer, choreographer, singer, and performer. With no accolades or Hollywood clout under her belt, April has managed to breakthrough the filter with her sharp, yet smooth, hard-hustling dance style. April has stood alongside Boogiemonstarz, a group Full of hunger and love for dance in which each member sets their own standard and creates their own style. Their mission as well as her own is to inspire others, by revealing the changes in themselves through performance, style, creativity, story-telling, groove ability, freestyle and self control. She strives with Boogiemonstarz to remain at the forefront of the dance community in Sacramento preserving the rawness of hip-hop, while evolving into new styles.
She has been involved in many projects around the Sacramento Community doing various workshops, videos and events and has now began her journey in sharing her style and personality to the world of dancers outside of her hometown. You can find April practicing with Boogiemonstarz at Step 1 Studios and teaching at Capitol Roots Studios in South Sacramento. Besides that, she likes sushi and the color purple.
