I saw Mott the Hoople in 1973. They were the featured band - they had a decent opening act by the name of QUEEN.

That's a shame. I got to talk to him, although it was more yelling down to him while he was back stage when British Lions opened for Ted Nugent back in '78. Mott has always been one of my favorite bands. Such a shame. I hope he's taken care of.

@catdude57 Buffin had developed Alzheimer's disease, and only came on at Hammersmith to play the encores. But he seemed to be enjoying himself nonetheless. And yes, Martin Chambers deputised (very ably) for him.
