Concerns over the proposed reforms of Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan president, have left some traditional Chavez voters uncertain whether to back him this time.

  • que viva chavez por siempre ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,que viva la revolucion..

  • @pedrito4040 Listen, I'm saying that their premise was wrong. I wasn't saying that the elections were particularly fair. Even though I think he won fairly. It shouldn't come as a surprise when a populist leader from a background similar to the large majority of the electorate wins an election. The other option of government in that country only represents a minority. Weather you like him or not, there is much worse (incl Castro).

  • @chalkies you seriously don't know what you're talking about. There are elections in Cuba yet everybody knows Castro is a dictator. Same for Venezuela

  • so , Castro is not a murderer? and has not destroyed his country ..... please? and the dictators were not taken out and democracies came afterwards? aint life a bitch. lets see why nobody can fire Fidel and now chavez. wise up.

  • Fuck you nazi. He is our problem. Not yours. Don't mangle in our affairs.

  • He is in power you moron!

  • most Dictators in Latin America where supported By the United States...

Trujillo, the Dominican Rep. trained and supplied by the U.S.

Pinoche, Chile "the worst" Sopport by the CIA

Bastista, Cuba before Castro another murderer

    the list goes on....

if Chavez was a Dictator he would have taken power Already.

  • gah, saying that people can elect you again doesn't mean that it's a dictatorship. plenty of democratic countries let their leaders run for reelection. If people don't like him all they have to do is not elect him.
