random park jam, wsp, ne / walkway. 7/18/09

Saw these 2 guys playing some nice music in the park, and asked if I could join for a few songs. Really liked their style, they had a sound that was well beyond their years. A random lady walking by, was listening to our music, and asked if she could take photos... I asked her to send one along!! So it is the thumbnail pic for this clip!!!

  • it's a cover of "John Henry"....here's wiki on it; "Songs featuring the story of John Henry have been sung by many blues, folk, and rock musicians, such as: Lead Belly, Take This Hammer, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Paul Robeson, Mississippi John Hurt, Woody Guthrie, Merle Travis, Pete Seeger, Lonnie Donegan, Wookiefoot, Big Bill Broonzy, Laura Veirs, Josh White, Johnny Cash,

Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Doc Watson, Fred McDowell Pink Anderson, John Renbourn, Dave Van Ronk, Little Jimmy Dickens"

  • This sounds so cool. Is this an original song by these guys or a cover.

  • ***** an all time classic!

    Jimmy Reed did alltime classics,too.

I like to invite you to watch my tribute to him - an animated short film with my newly recorded music.

Have have & keep on doing the things you like to do.
