Whole lot different than actually spending 8 combined hours in an automotive lab at school from 8am-4pm every day of the week. Just stop talking.

it's okay but some parts you aren't playing in the same key as the backing track.

I know this.
These are called chromaticisms. Notes not in the key, but used as passing tones to connect two other diatonic notes. This is often used in blues and jazz. Satriani and Vai do this a lot. Just adds a little color.
