This track is inspired by our current economic crisis, particularly in Ireland where we felt it bad. . . .
I wrote it about what I could see in front of me. I think form this recession we will emerge much better off, like the devastation of a forest-fire, but it is so necessary to the revitalization of the land. I think those people who had it too good for too long will once again be forced to learn the value of things, why buy a jeep when a car will do, social status? money wasn't changing hands . .we all know that, but it was too little too late in my opinion. the ones who suffer the most are the working classes, the salt of the earth, the small shop owners. the govt. fucked us all, they didnt move to smaller houses, Ben Dunne wasn't on welfare . . I couldn't even get help from the Govt, they just fobbed me off time and time again . .enough is enough . . I had to write this song . . I think the people responsible should have to give back . . the fat cats, sell their yachts, bank owners, credit card companies who just kept on giving until there was nothing left . . .
Anyway, that's just me . . .
I like the song, I dedicated to a friend of mine in Germany, Elly, she has helped me and been a friend to no end this past while . . . . so i hope you enjoy, please comment and share your thoughts . . . . I love to hear them!!
