@PravdaDeus You've got to be kidding me. Iceland is in hock to the IMF and Russia (google "iceland €4bn russia"). Norway and Switzerland must accept EU rules that they have no say in. And are you really comparing Ireland to Guernsey and Jersey? Get real PravdaDeus!

@padraigomairtin your comment about Iceland seems strangely ironic now. Iceland is actually in a better situation than Ireland since they dealt with their problems autonomously and are turning the corner with a comprehensive recovery program. Ireland continues to plummet and cannot adjust interest rates due to the central bank in Germany. Also Switzerland, Norway , Guernsey and Jersey were ok- so what exactly was your point? That being out of the EU/EMU = being worse off? Clearly not...
