@ananiasacts i thought i was debating with an intellectual player, but i can only conclude you are not used to having to logicaly justify your ideas & are an emotive gluckenspeigel.

@MegaFloyd100, I did answer your question by explaining that the golden rule is all you need to understand to answer questions about morality. You're just lying if you claim that you don't know what it is. I'm not just calling you immoral, I'm explaining why--you've never addressed any of the reasons I give. You support a filthy industry that preys on the credulity of young children to survive. That makes you a despicable person all by itself. Bringing up Hitler only proves you're an imbecile.
-
@ananiasacts 1 despite asking twice, you cant/wont answer my question re moral objectivity.2 calling thiests immoral is little more than a weak adhominem argument 3 you ASSUME as fact that Gods judgements wrong 4 what is the ''golden rule''? 4 as you are judging thiests for beliefs ''they hold to be true'',does that make you '' both immoral and antisocial''? 5 Hitler thought his beliefs true, and ''that he was saving the world'' so who decides if a belief ''does not possibly do others harm?''
-
@MegaFloyd100, That's my whole point--that you must lack a common sense of decency. The "golden rule" is what should compel you to regard the message of the Abrahamic religions as filthy and immoral. You yourself wouldn't wish to be condemned for what you chose to believe because it can't possibly do anyone else any harm, yet you promulgate an ideology which does exactly that: condemns people based on their beliefs. You don't need to look past the first commandment to see that. Religion is evil.
-
@ananiasacts I assume that your post-modernist belief is that all morals are relative,if so, on what objective moral standards do you base your accusations?Should you not ''avoid offending'' & not try to ''impose your moral standards on others?''
-
@MegaFloyd100, I mean ALL of the Abrahamic religions. They are all morally repugnant for precisely the same reason: hypocrisy. While professing that people must not condemn each other for what they believe you folks support a doctrine and preach a dogma that does precisely that. You worship an entity that judges people based on what they hold to be true, which makes you both immoral and antisocial. Such a creature should be condemned and despised, not worshipped. Stop encouraging a monster!
-
@MegaFloyd100, The vast majority of religious people believe in the god of Abraham (I'm speaking of all Christians, Jews, and Muslims.) Virtually everything about that god and the dogma those religions promulgate is filthy and immoral. The very idea of worshipping a dictator (regardless of it's intentions, threats, or bribes) is abhorrant. If you weren't so inherently immoral yourself that would be obvious to you. Nor would you be supporting an industry based on exploiting the credulity of kids.

@ananiasacts What religion do u mean? As a protestant i assume u mean he Catholic Church of 500 yrs ago. As a protestant, many of whom died to free the world from the aforementioned tyranny .Protestant Christianity,by fighting for religious individuality , founded Modern Science,Art & Literature,Free thinking & Democracy ,human rights, animal rights & even Athiesm! Its hard to know where to start with your ridiculous parroting of politically correct groupthink revisionist history slogans.
Hih, kinda silly to try to disallow uploading parts of this video, I am sure this is just the kind of material that fair-use was meant for.

@raysensei There were quite a few people who took Skepticon 2 videos and re-uploaded them in their entirety without giving credit or linking to the skepticon website. My line for re-using footage is that the new video needs to be a new creative work and bring something new to the table. If you would like to use some of the footage, send me a PM with what you intend to do with it, and we can most likely work something out.

@raysensei Also, using small portions or individual quotes certainly falls under fair use. A general rule of thumb is that giving credit greatly increases the odds that we wont give a shit if you re-use our shit.
