The first 3 portraits and the last one are of a Moroccan Arab family named Cherkaoui or Sharkawi, which in English means Eastman. They are descendants from Omar Ibn Alkhattab. Their ancestors came originally from Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Many Arabs came to Morocco during the Islamic expansion and settled in the flat lands such as Tadla, Doukala, Rhamna, Abda, Shaouia. One big group of Arabs in Morocco splits into two groups: Sharkawa and Arbawa. Sharkawa settled in Boujaad and Arbawa God knows. For more information on this, read a book titled Moroccan Islam. It is written by (a German?) anthropologist, named (Achermann?). The book is probably out of print, but you can order a copy from the University of Minnesota.
There is also a portrait of the Moroccan Princess Lalla Salma and of the Moroccan Dutch actress, Maryam Hassouni, who is Arab.

  • which kind of Moroccan music is in the clip ?

    I like ,,

  • @najran300 This music is from a Moroccan band called Nass El Giwane. They revived an old Moroccan music, which includes old traditional Moroccan lyrics from the country, old sayings, and old Arabic maxims. Two members have died, Boujmi3 and Batma. Boujmi3 was the soprano and Batma was an alto. Nass El Ghiwane still perform these days. They have influenced Algerian Ray performers such Cheb Khaled and Mami. They influenced American Film Director Martin Scorsese. He spoke of this once.

  • Brothers/sisters...Please, enough fighting and arguing amogst ourselves. The Arabs come from many different tribes, regions, religions and backgrounds...but who the hell cares? Please, let us focus at what unifies us. I am Lebanese and proud of my Arab heritage. I love my GREATER COUNTRY from the Gulf to the Atlantic. I have brothers in Iraq to Morocco. If my Moroccan brother hurts, I too hurt. If my Iraqi sister cries, I cry too. DO NOT LET THEM DIVIDE US into tribes. United forever!
