Dude, that is very dangerous!
-
Which train is using the ALP now?
-
Amtrak's keystone trains used to orginate/terminate at Suburban Station.
-
it looks so out of place and so big in those little tunnels lol
-
@Tracon lol same as the v's that are being put to service soon
i think about 10,000 pounds overweight
-
@MrTinstins, They have 7 AEM-7s and 1 ALP-44. Eventually people see them enough to know how many SEPTA has. In addition there are a good amount of employees that work RRD that are railfans to post in various places the amount of engines the company has.
-
@tkandme3, xdaftpunkedx is correct. Just to add to what he said the problem was that the Route 100 cars (N5's) were well overweight when delivered.
-
@xdaftpunkedx SEPTA has a lot more push-pull engines than one may think. ONLY SEPTA knows the official count.
Also, it's not "Septa" It's "SEPTA"
-
@xdaftpunkedx well they have 3 push-pull engines. No one but SEPTA knows the official count of their rolling stock, nor should they know.

and i rode the R3 express train yesterday to go to work and it an alp-44 with 5 to 6 coaches it was amazing. i normal catch the R7 but you know i to catch a bus 19 to the R7 or 88 get off at bethayers then the R3.
SEPTA has 3 ALP-44's FYI. you'd be surprised the stuff the average commuter doesn't know about SEPTA, no matter how hard they look.

@tkandme3 actually i must disagree. Septa has only one ALP-44 in its fleet. Septa acquired this ALP-44 after a lawsuit settlement with ABB who builds the locomotive and built Septa's Route 100 cars. When the cars suffered problems initially and sued part of the settlement was 2308 Septa's only ALP-44.
