The Beret should be eliminated, its the most stupid "cover" ever devised. A Beret does not provide protection from, wind, rain, or sun. It is the "cover" preferred by troops trained in surrendering like French and British troops. Men do not wear Berets. The Marine Joint Chief threatened to resign if Marines were forced to wear these.

BS- two dog tags are issued because if you are killed, one get placed in your mouth, and the other its taken to record your demise.

@Ifall4you94 You can go to basic training if your 17, but some branches require a high school diploma. My advice would be to wait until you graduate. You will go in with more rank, pay, etc.

Question: Can you be issued new dog tags if they reach the point of falling off or do they have to fall off before you get new tags?

@F35FLYER This is by far the strangest question I have received in 5 years. If it breaks, you get new ones. They rarely break though. Mine have been going strong for 8 yrs with no problems
