It is reported that 177,000 were in attendance at the rally.

集会への賛同メッセージ
　もう一つの未来を市民が提示する時代が来た。調整・折衷するだけの政治には期待できな­い。たかが電気のために命がけになる必要はない。各地で小さな発電をして、地産地消で­きるのが電気だ。
　私たち一人一人の力で、新たな未来が創れることを知らしめよう。（田中　優）

The time has come where citizens present a vision for an alternative future. There is no hope in the politics when its actors are doing nothing but seek for compromise and middle grounds among themselves. Electricity is not worth risking our lives for. Electricity can be produced everywhere in a small scale and consumed within the area.
Let each of us show that it is possible to create an alternative future.
