Install a CPU Fan

Check with CPU company to see what type of fan you need to buy.

1. Layout all parts to the fan and open the computer case (you should already have a heatsink installed)
2. Locate the nearest 3 pin connection next to your CPU
3. Plug the fans power cord into the connection (it will only go one way)
4. Make sure the connection is secure
5. Line the fan up ontop of the heatsink making sure the screw holes are even
6. Screw in all 4 screws that come with the fan
7. Plug only the computers power cord into the wall outlet and turn on the computer to see if the fan is blowing in the right direction
8. You can check your computers tempature and fan speed with a software called SpeedFan. Here is my Youtube video on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPRybhl59gs

u know there is black and red wire but there is yellow or white wire too what does that do?

I believe white/yellow is what sends the control signals from the motherboard... red/black are power only.

hey im plannin on buying a fan... does a fan for a processor differs from a fan for the whole CPU?
