How to do Basic Home Repairs : How to Repair Holes in Drywall for Home Improvement

alright please help im 16 and punched my wall in my bedroom out and my parents dont know i did this about 3 months ago the whole is about the same size as an average size wall clock not round at all but the whole is too large to put just dry wall "pre made" repair to it.... i dont know what to do the hole is behind my dresser and where moving soon someone please help me!!!!

Same here. I kicked my cousin into the wall for the first one. I drove my foot through the 2nd one and my brothers knee went in the 3rd one lol.

This method isn't durable. A push on that area and pressure cracks will form. For no bumps, screw in some spare drywall behind the hole inside the wall. Then apply a nice thick coat of 45 basecoat until it is level with the rest of the wall. Make sure the basecoat is not too runny, almost like putty or thick mud. Apply to the hole. The spare piece of drywall will hold the basecoat in place. Use a final skim of topcoat and sand smooth.

thanks,home depot tried to sell me 3 small screen covers at $15 a pack. Spent the same on the tape and have enough left over for 50 more holes.
