You guys whining about the revving are so naive. The vr6 is a brick shithouse of an engine, takes more than that to kill it. I.E. i have a 12v vr6 and ran it 3 miles with NO oil pressure just to limp it home, and guess what, absolutely no worse for the wear, i still flog it every day and at 116k miles its still going strong, not burning a drop of any fluid. These cars were built to be driven, not be wimpy garage whores. like VW said, DRIVERS wanted, not little girls afraid to use the engine.

shut up. engines were meant to rev. the vr6 is a strong motor. good luck blowing it apart revving it.
they like to die on their own, not by someones doing.
R32 sounds sick. (12v is still cooler tho :))

When VW test these engines they rev them up to and over the standard rev limit to see what they can cope with, for hours and hours, as long as it is maintained a couple of max outs here and there aint gunna damage it. I agree with Senninha1960.

Rev it harder, Too many children think they know about cars and engines on here. As long as the oil is warm there is ABSOLUTLY NO PROBLEM with reving the car to its limiter. Haha Why exactly do you think it would be a problem anyway? The valves are not bouncing, the lubrication is functioning so its not grinding itself. The engine is engineered to function up to this speed and to a certain extent beyond it too.
