The song bit is like watching Woody Allen on Dick Cavett. It's interesting how many comedians in the 20th century had other performing talents. Most of them could sing and dance pretty well. We could use more of that Vaudevillian attitude in media now. That way if someone isn't funny, they can at least have something else to do and not cause more trouble by trying to keep going. Naturally this doesn't apply to Spike, Groucho or Woody, but it's still a good thing to do in general.
