@greymoose1000 The Coaches Poll was more legit in 2003 when it voted LSU #1. The AP and and the Coaches poll were secondary polls in the BCS format. They were too contribute to the BCS formula in deciding a National Champion. That's what all the College Presidents and AD's signed off on. They all agreed the BCS was going to be your main National Championship service.

LSU were your "Real" National Champions for 2003. They won it in the system that everyone including USC agreed to.

@greymoose1000 - USC barely got the UPI vote. It was the closest vote in the Coaches poll history. Still is. It seems there were a few coaches envious of Bear's success. Yes, according to your flawless logic and the Coaches poll a team plays for the National Title at the beginning of a season, or at least gets the NT based soley on a regular season game won at the beginnig of the season.

Hasn't BCS pulled USC's 2004 BCS title? talking about teams on probation.
