Lion King Concert Band

The Mass Band consisting of over 400 people! In this Mass Band includes 3 Junior High Schools and 4 High School Bands all from Libertyville (Except Rondout). The Junior High schools are Rondout, Oak Grove, and Highland (Highland is the best!!!). Next, all 4 High School Bands are from Libertyville High School. This includes Freshman, Symphonic, Symphonic Winds, and Wind Ensemble Bands. We perform on Thursday 20, 2008 the classic medley of the LION KING!!! Composed by Elton John. This is conducted by a guest conductor Tom Beckwith.

Awesome! We did that for graduation a while back. It was so much fun! But we couldn't do Hakuna Matata because we didn't have good enough sound for the gym, and the solos would sound bad. I played Marimba and the stupid little Granite blocks for this (I don't enjoy the granite blocks. sound goes right through me).
