I may have written this year a year ago.....(have forgotten) anyway this is not Patti's original charted single release. This was rerecorded for her TV show. This is great but the original recording is much better. The bridge is not overpowered by wordless chorus.

Was interesting to watch Patti morph from a quite chubby, not very stylish young lady in the early 1950s to this gorgeous, trim fashion-setting icon just a few years later. As the weight came off her beautiful features, particularly the striking angles of her face, emerged. And it became apparent she made any gown she wore spectacular. Patti was an unusual show business person. Low key, practical, quite shy, very focused and at bottom line a nice girl from Oklahoma.

It's sad to hear that Patti Page has left the stage. What a wonderful career she had, and was still singing and looking so fine even into her 80s. With so many recordings and youtube clips such as this to enjoy, she won't be forgotten. RIP
