In an effort the help myself and others understand what the GAPS Diet Intro stages consist of I made the video. My right brain as well as many of you might process the information and flow though the stages better in a video than with just text. I just started the diet today with my autistic 9 year old. Looking forward to see healing of our gut and his autistic symptoms.

@roseclouds Not so hard. Make your own good soup. Take a good probiotic. Cut out all the crap, white foods, processed foods, CAFO meat. I have terrible digestive problems from ghee. You don't need it. Use good olive oil. Mornings: lemon-water B4 breakfst. Protein &vegetables pretty safe lunch & dinner. Live & learn: many videos on youtube: gluten-free, raw, no sugar, no flour, recipes for celiac disease, etc. Garden of Life products & his book very good too. I use True Essentials Vitamins.

I don't know what your details are, but I have posted a lot about me and my partner's experiences with GAPS on my website Hella Delicious, and you can also get support with the diet from a yahoo group called GAPShelp. If you check out my website please comment or contact me through the site if you have more questions, as I often forget to check my youtube account for messages. I do highly recommend the diet, I don't know why doctors are so behind in the field of probiotics these days.

@roseclouds that is so sad to hear about your condition. I had terrible exhaustion as well, but I knew where it came from as I got typhoid when I was in Burma. Therefore I knew exactly that it had to do with my damaged gut. You are very right to be aware of all the work that you need to put into the diet. When I started on it, that is all I did, just cook and take baths pretty much for the first month. The first month is hard, but after that it gets easier and you see improvements.

@hdelicious
Could you please elaborate on the changes it has made for you? I am dealing with extreme exhaustion and, in spite of seeing the best doctors available, have made no progress. I believe that gut health is integral to general well being and have been curious about the GAPS diet, but somewhat intimidated, it seems a huge undertaking for something that I am not sure will be effective.
Please tell me anything you can about your success with it.

Thanks for doing this! It can be hard to figure out how to get started on the GAPS. We are a year into it now and yeah it has changed our lives. We found using raw milk made a huge difference in how quickly we could add dairy back into our diet.

1st Stage you can have meat, veggies, and broth...you can make it in soup or eat it separately, it doesn't matter.
You move through the stages as needed for your body. No more than necessary...1-5 days

Ideally you will want to be off of dairy for 6 months if you start with the full GAPS diet. If you start w/ Intro you will want to be off dairy for 6 weeks and then introduce ghee, then butter, yogurt, then kefir.

I thought you can't have dairy in the first two years of the diet?

Hi, thank you for this video. I am still a little perplexed on the intro diet.
It sounds like all one may eat in 1st stage is the broth and ginger tea, and soup made of the broth, meat and certain vegetables.
Do I have that right? I was also wondering if there is an average time that they give for the first stage of the intro diet?
