Raag Khamaj - Ustad Bismillah Khan's tune

Tune of Bhajan: "Vaishnav Jan To Tene Re Kahiye" by Narsinh Mehta.

My Teacher, Maiya Singh ji, learned it by listening to and playing along to a recording of Ustad Bismillah Khan.

If you noticed: the phone rang towards the end of the recording. :P

The instrument is a Tar Shehnai - which is an Esraj With a Horn Attachment that produces the high pitched sound.

An Esraj (similar to Dilruba) is half a sarangi, half a sitar.
