This such a wonderful video. I think every parents decision for their child who is deaf of HH is their own to make. Joshua obviously was very happy with your decision!! And that is what matters. I couldn't imagine not giving your child the gift of hearing if you are given that decision to make, but I am the mother of a child who lost his hearing at age 8 and I am not given that choice to make as he is severely disabled and they won't approve the surgery for him. Good decision mom and dad!

PLEASE! can you tell us how is he now, after almost 3 years? thanks and GBY

he is soooo freaking adorable! whatever decision you made, you made it with the best of your judgement. :)

I love this video, i really almost cried. My favorite part is when he bobs his head to the music & gets mad when it's turned off. You made the right choice in getting the implant. He looked so happy. Thanks for sharing. God bless

It is a very cute video. I am an older adult. I got mine when I was 24 years old.... the switch on experience was totally different for me, I hated it. But down the road, I am glad I got it as my brain learned the sounds. Now I just got my 2nd one three days ago, recovering from surgery now.

That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

I don't see how you could ever have doubted this decision. He now can grow up as normally and not have all the difficulties the deaf face. He is so precious. I have a friend who is deaf from childhood and he has been held back by his deafness. He is very smart and good looking and I know and he knows that he has been passed over for promotions at work just as an example of what your son won't have to deal with. God bless you and your gorgeous son..

Never let anyone question your decision. The look on his face should be all you need. What a great looking little guy. I wish you all the best!
...I never thought I would cry watching someone listen to Springsteen...
