Dine. Shop. Stroll.... Take a trip down Oakland's Piedmont Avenue shopping district.
On this lazy Sunday afternoon, we travel up Piedmont Avenue, starting near MacArthur and finishing at Pleasant Valley Avenue. Though shorter than Rockridge's College Avenue corridor, Piedmont Avenue packs nearly the same number of merchants.
Here, you'll find renown Oakland dining destinations, including Bay Wolf, Cesar, Gregoire, and Adesso. A line is always forming outside Fenton's for their famous Black & Tan sundaes. Hop into Piedmont Cinema. Enjoy the wealth of day spas.
The shops run through the heart of the neighborhood, also called "Piedmont Avenue." Residents of the City of Piedmont, particularly the "below Grand Avenue" neighborhood, are within walking distance to the east.

We moved away from the neighborhood (and California) two years ago and I still miss it! Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
