Well guys no need to go hyper...

Lata is no doubt the best female singer in bollywood and she has sung this song beautifully, however this version pales in front of the Male version sung by Mohammed Rafi. i guess majority of the people here will agree with that.

Both Lata and Rafi saab are the ultimate definition of legend. I agree that Rafi saab has poured lot more emotion to the song.. but lata's voice is so awesome that even if she doesn't puts any emotion to the song still she will sound awesome. But that's not the case.. Lata has poured the right amount of emotion into every song she sung creating magic and we are still under her spell. So did Rafi saab. I was as dedicated and professional in my field as they were in the music.

I think it is unfair to compare Rafi sahab and Lataji! Some songs suit a particular voice better than others. "Aji rooth kar" from Aarzoo was better in Lataji's voice than Rafi sahab's. The pitch suited Lata better than Rafi sahab, Why compare two legends?

With all due respect to Lataji, her version of this song is no where compared to RafiSaheb's singing. Rafisaheb's singing of this song, as with many other songs he has sung, simply divine.
