At 14 and a half months Max was unable to sit. His arms and legs were stiff and when held standing his knees turned inwards, his legs buckled and his feet distorted. He had a rounded back and moderate head control.
Max is now 19 months and for the past 5 months Nina and Bert, Max's parents, have been working with Peter Walker to help Max become more flexible and to try to help him back into a more normal pattern of development.
Max can now lay comfortably on his tummy, lifting his head with his arms begining to extend. He can sit independently in the first sitting position, and is learning to sit independently in the second. Max has good head control and is now learning to stand upright in a normal fashion.
Dear Friends,
I'm so sorry that I have not up dated this sooner but my life has been very busy. I'm so happy that my work with Max has been of benefit to other children with similar conditions. My heartfelt wish is to show some very simple techniques that loving parents can use with their beautiful children to assist developmental progress. With 'love and light' Peter Walker

wow this has really taught me a few things.I have a daughter with left hemiplegia and she is very tight in her left leg and left arm.I will now lay her on her belly and try stretching and bending her foot inwards and see if she will tolerate it.She is 2 years and 4 months and not walking yet but is pretty muh doing everything else for her age,We had a speeach therapist here and she is actaully advanced in her knowledge and understanding but about 12 months behind in actually talking.
