IA-2: Braking from Hunaudieres into Mulsanne

This is an example of how to achieve gold on this license test - recorded live. Played with a regular sixaxis controller and recorded with an HDPVR. Default driving options were used (unless stated otherwise below) other than manual transmission.

Tips:
For this one you want to pay close attention to how you're shifting at the beginning and try not to weave back and forth. You want to be straight and fast as one bad step at the beginning will lose you time for this entire huge straight-away.

This braking zone is one of the toughest I've done so far as you're braking through the right-hand kink. The trick I found was to turn in so you go over the curb but brake in as straight a line as possible. Braking in a straight line will help you decelerate much quicker.

You'll want to stay to the left, maybe even onto the pavement on the left shoulder so that you can turn into the corner at the best possible angle. Having a good angle will allow you to get on the gas quicker and rocket to the finish line.

When making this last corner, stay as close to the pylon things as you can. You CAN hit them gently without getting a DQ.

got a lot off my time because of this vid, but i can't seem to get it under 30.450 :s any advice?

@kevinmegen Other than getting the braking zone just right the corner is critical. You need to enter the corner at just the right speed and exit at just the right speed or you won't get it. You need to be going through the corner just fast enough so that your tires are about to lose grip but not so fast that you end up off the track and in the dirt. Work on your braking zone so that you can (fairly) consistently enter the corner at an ideal speed and then start working on the corner itself

A GREAT Tip That won me by mistake lol :p is to let your left tires in the dirt just before the turn, that'll slow you down fast and line you with the turn so you can have a little bit more to the turn then Launch to victory .. And YES, I did it in Automatic.

30.222 after viewing this video. I used the chase camera and followed the driving line like you did. After I got the 1 out of 10 tries where the car actually decided to turn it worked XD
