@LadyEvelynL no, all of the new areas in CT:DS are new maps, they don't use any of the pre-release maps in it. you are correct about the singing mountain song though. that is in the DS version.

The cool thing is, most of the areas not used in the original version, are used in the DS version of Chrono Trigger. The Singing Mountain song is also used in one of the extra dungeons
