  • @Greenadee - I haven't done any MiniLDs yet... For me the problem is time, I have far too many other things I want to do, but doing a LD every now and then is good practice and fun :)

  • @Greenadee Well, the program has gone through 2 iterations so far and is still a mess :) It has been my intention to eventually release one, but haven't made one worth releasing yet. So maybe will release a display app for the next LD I decide to waste some time with ;)

  • Greenadee: the screen on the far right is a program I wrote for the purpose so some text is automatic; the status update is pretty infrequent and you don't see it because the video is so fast generally :) The system it's being updated on is on the far right beyond what the camera sees. In my more recent LD timelapse I rewrote the display app and it actually watches for changes to a file on a network share now to get status text..

  • I wound up making a silly asteroids-like game, the key point is that it renders on the desktop rather than in it's own window. The game was called "Desktop Rox", you can find it by searching on the ludumdare website.

  • This was fun.

  • @sgstair :) Do you do any of the Mini-LD's?

  • @sgstair Umm... Wow! Any chance you can share the program?

  • I gotta admit, this is one of my favorite Ludumdare time lapse videos :)

Just wondering the screen on the far right, how did you get that... Like that? I don't see you editing the text at all, or is the video just too fast you don't see it?

  • Great video. Thanks for posting. What kind of game did you make?
