My friend volunteers for a wildlife rescue organization and is taking care of these two fawns until they can be let back in the wild. See also http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gw7iWvEoOuo

  • I bet these babies are so beautiful now. God bless you for saving those who cannot save themselves! <3

  • I wasn't the one caring for them, but I will pass your sentiments on to the lovely lady that did. She is the one in the other fawn video I have.

  • why are they in the bath tub for?

  • There are other animals staying in the house and since these two were injured they needed to be separated from the others. There were plenty of blankets for them and they were small enough that it wasn't too cramped for them.

  • Just last week they joined a few other recuperating fawns in a larger location and will shortly be released into a (hopefully) protected reserve. They have healed and just need to get their strength & speed up. On one hand I hope there are no more fawn injuries; but on the other hand they are so neat that I can't wait to meet another batch! Thanks for tuning in.

  • This is WAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY to cute to be legal

  • @lindscatlover I don't recall this particular tragic event, but usually the mothers are killed by cars and the fawns are left to care for themselves. Since most are still nursing and don't know they can eat leaves yet, they get weak and eventually starve unless they are caught and raised like these were.

  • YAY! That is great news. I hope it's a protected area too. We lived right off the parkway in Williamsburg, VA and we love to go and park and just watch them. Awesome.

I understand your sentiments about meeting another batch. They sure pull at the heart strings. :)
