http://www.electrifly.com In a gym, at the field — it doesn't matter to the Pluma. It flies equally well indoors and outdoors. One of the reasons is ProFormance™ foam — an innovative 3mm polystyrene that's strong, straight and light. Including its carbon-fiber pushrods, wire z-bends and cleverly streamlined parts, the Pluma still weighs under 10 ounces. As a result, the power-to-weight ratio is great even with small RimFire out-runner motors...all you need for jaw-dropping 3D.
My pluma weighs about 11oz with an e-flite 370 1360kv motor and 11.1v 800Mah battery. Is that too heavy?

Why isn't this plane beginner rated?

I have 5 planes, this one is by far my favorite! Very easy to land too! But still not for a beginner.

It's my next plane!

Hmm, how would it run with a lightweight 3 cell 480 mah pack, and the indoor setup? I'm wanting lightweight, so that precision is best with it.

i bought 4 of these planes as they are 1 of the best (or the best) foamy ive ever had. Im using HS55 servos along with soektrum reciver and the outdoor motor recomened in the manuel. I am using 800mah 3s1p lipos with it as I have them and didnt want to buy new p0oacks for it but it would fly even better with the 640mah 3s1p packs recomened in the manuel
